| We go from one scene to another watching absolutely nothing happening wondering if something funny ever really does happen in this film. Unless you really appreciate a slow and subtle sense of humor I recommend staying clear. |

| Interesting flick, a thinker. You gotta appreciate the Coen brothers and their style - subtle eerieness and social/moral commentary. I seriously doubt the anti-semitism, since they're Jews themselves, duh! |

| ohhmmama - accusations of racism are frankly absurd. Are you implying the film is racist against non jews, or anti-semitic. Because ive heard the Anti-semitic claim elsewhere and its just ridiculous. With the exception of "No Country For Old Men" and "Blood Simple" the Coen's characters have always had a cartoon like quality from the middle westerns in "Raising Arizona" right through to the, frankly, idiots in "Burn After Reading". A Serious Man is pretty restrained by comparison. |
