A very powerful movie. Scenes were very realistic.

Certainly one sobering view of WWI and its warfare strategies: trench warfare, and the confusion of combat fatigue/shock. Strong performances given, although directorial strengths seemed lacking at certain moments. Possibly following several storylines, rather than just one? Scored this 4 out of 5. Pretty good for a war movie. 3.5 stars. Better than I thought it was going to be.
