| a bit "flowery" for me when compared to the book by Lew Wallace, and the other cinematic versions of Ben-Hur released over the years. One theory has it that Ben-Hur was Mr. Wallace's attempt to reconcile 2 New Testament characters; Manaen and his stepbrother, Herod (Book Of Acts). Still, this production is well worth the watch. good night and good luck. |
